Things are looking good for TALEX 3 :-)
I’m excited to say that we’ve worked out what the bug that’s been annoying the hell out of me for the last few months is!
Ian road tested the new firmware yesterday, and has confirmed that the issue has been resolved.
He did point out one other detail that needs changing, but this should be a pretty straightforward fix as we know how to do it.
I’m currently in the USA where my Daughter is receiving medical treatment (nothing too serious but needs to be treated as soon as possible, and the treatment is only available in the US, so we have – believe it or not – a “national interest exemption”!).
Anyhow, I’ll be here for around 6 weeks if all goes to plan, but I’m in daily contact with Mem and Louisa, and the plan is to get TALEX 3 — which has already been manufactured and is literally just waiting to be flashed with the final firmware — launched as soon as possible.
As I said in the last update, there is no one more motivated than me to get T3 launched, as both my reputation and the finances of TALEX are on the line.
I am super motivated to get it in to Users hands.
I’ll keep you updated, but things are looking really good now :-)
The next step is to change the firmware to apply the “local” fixes we successfully tested to the whole country.
We’ll then have our test team of James, Dave, and Lou, and Ian (thanks Ian!) randomly test different areas and once they confirm all is perfect, we’ll be pressing the button to get T3 shipped to us.
